Archiving Archiving plays a critical role in organizing, preserving and providing easy access to cultural and historical resources of media. Storage The possibility of storing the whole archive digitally on a computer "Storage Ware House" is now feasible and affordable. It is possible to do this at the same time as the computer logging and cataloging. Film Transfer There are 3 steps of Digital Tape Washing: 1. Cleaning and pumping the actual tape. 2. Transfer to Digital Betacam. 3. Data disk containing all information about the tape.
